From the Politics of Race to the Politics of Solidarity

Nov 8th, 2008 by Webmaster |

This week we have participated in an historic event that has mobilized people and has the potential to move our community and country towards racial justice and equity.  We are challenged to keep this energy going and continue to work together on the  transformation of our Duluth community.  The YWCA invites you to attend:

Time for Transformation: From the Politics of Race to the Politics of Solidarity  Victor Lewis will share his vision of a world of interracial, intercultural solidarity which is worth living and fighting for, and which may be our only hope.  He is an internationally recognized leader and is best known for his catalytic role in the documentary, “The Color of Fear.”  Mr. Lewis is currently Director of the Center For Diversity Leadership in Oakland, CA.

When:  Tuesday, November 11th, 2008, 7 pm

Where:  Denfeld High School auditorium, 4405 W. Fourth St, Duluth

YWCA support has made this event free and open to the public.
