St. Andrews by the Lake

A retreat featuring the life and writings of Sigurd Olson, Ely, Minnesota naturalist and writer, will be  held at the Mary Brown Environmental Center in Ely on September 12 and 13, 2008. Attendees are being encouraged to read at least one of his books.  There will be a discussion of his writings led by people who knew him and field trips to the places he lived and wrote about.
